Dr. Jun Ma is currently Professor of Genetics at the International School of Medicine of Zhejiang University, and the Fourth-Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. He obtained his B.S. in Biology from Peking University and Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Harvard University. He was a Professor at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Research Foundation before joining Zhejiang University in 2017. His research interests are in the areas of gene regulatory networks and embryonic development, aimed at a long term goal of understanding the general principles that govern biological systems at molecular, cellular, embryonic and organismal levels.
