A New Semester Begins: Protecting Our Campus with Expertise and Dedication

03 15, 2026

As the new semester begins, the Campus Support  Department made full use of the winter break to carry out thorough inspections, maintenance, and safety checks on campus facilities through careful planning and organization. After the semester started, all support operations seamlessly transitioned from full preparation to ongoing safeguarding, continuously ensuring the smooth operation of the campus.

During the winter vacation, the Campus Support Department carried out systematic and in-depth maintenance of the core campus systems, covering key areas such as ceiling and wall reinforcement, lighting, water supply and drainage, hot water supply, and elevators. A total of 87 ceiling and wall reinforcements were completed, over 200 outdoor lamps were repaired, 107 sump pumps were cleaned, 17 hot water equipment rooms were debugged, 42 elevators received professional maintenance, and 31 drinking water points underwent water quality testing and filter replacement. These comprehensive measures have strengthened the campus infrastructure and protected the health of students and staff.

Here’s a simple, natural English translation for your official text:  The service quality of all functional spaces has been improved simultaneously. The gymnasium calibrated 50 fitness machines, adjusted 16 ping‑pong tables to standard, and maintained over 230 pieces of ball equipment. The library reclassified and shelved more than 5,000 books, and deeply cleaned the 24‑hour study area and 20 seminar rooms. The teaching buildings finished equipment debugging and thorough cleaning for 12 general classrooms and 32 specialized laboratories. The shared kitchen carried out 8 rounds of equipment inspections and 20 cleanings and disinfections of public refrigerators. The dormitories maintained over 600 public green plants and inspected door locks in more than 300 dorm rooms. Through countless “ordinary” maintenance tasks, the Campus Support Department has extended its services to every detail of daily life and achieved visible improvements in campus quality.

Since the start of the semester, support services have been further intensified. In response to the spring increase in mosquito breeding, the Campus Support Department acted swiftly by conducting thorough disinfection across all campus buildings. These detailed measures aim to reduce the risk of vector-borne diseases at the source, building a protective and caring line of defense to ensure students can begin the new semester with peace of mind.

At the same time, the cafeteria services have continued to innovate by launching a monthly International Flavors special event. Featuring more than 10 dishes from around the world, the selection strikes a balance between exotic tastes and everyday favorites. This allows international students to enjoy a taste of home while offering domestic students a culinary journey through different cultures. In this way, diverse cultures naturally blend together in the vibrant atmosphere of campus dining.

Campus safety measures have also been stepped up. In response to the increase in electric bikes after the semester began, a combination of rigorous patrols and gentle guidance has been adopted. During peak hours, staff are stationed at the school gates to remind riders to wear helmets, patiently explaining safety knowledge to those who are not wearing one. Through these everyday efforts, they are building the first line of defense on campus to ensure students' safe travel.

The IT support team has implemented a 24-hour duty system to ensure the campus network remains stable and online. For common issues faced by international students, such as login anomalies and failed VPN connections, they provide remote troubleshooting and instant phone response, promptly resolving technical difficulties to keep the information flow smooth and uninterrupted.

From meticulous maintenance during the winter vacation to ongoing support after the semester begins, the Campus Support  Department has consistently placed the needs of students and staff at the core of its work. They integrate professionalism into every detail and uphold their responsibility in every task. With dedication, they safeguard daily campus life; with craftsmanship, they protect the campus environment. Their efforts make safety, comfort, and warmth the solid foundation upon which the new semester is built.
