With warm spring breezes caressing the air and new shoots sprouting from plants and trees, the ZJU-ISM seized the opportunity of Arbor Day to launch a tree-planting activity. Meanwhile, it is steadily advancing all initiatives for upgrading campus greening and renovating landscape features. Through meticulous cultivation, the School is solidifying the ecological foundation of the campus and creating a garden-style educational space that is pleasant for living and conducive to learning.
The ZJU-ISM organized an Arbor Day-themed tree-planting activity. Faculty representatives planted ten Prunus mume 'Meiren' trees on the lawn at the southwest corner of Dushi Bridge, practicing the philosophy of loving and protecting the campus greenery and co-building an ecological environment with concrete actions.
The young saplings take root in the fertile soil and grow toward the sun, just like the young ZJU-ISM, which is firmly establishing its foundation and thriving steadily on the journey of talent cultivation and scientific research.
As the core characteristic floral variety on campus, Chinese roses have been a key focus of the gardening team since the start of the new semester. Seizing the critical period for spring maintenance, the team has completed the pruning of key rose zones featuring varieties such as Xizi Yanyu and Scarlet Bonica.
A selection of high-quality rose cultivars including Honey Peach Snow Mountain, Dai Zi and Diana has been introduced. With careful coordination of flowering periods and color palettes, a distinctive campus-exclusive rose landscape belt has been created, ensuring the campus boasts picturesque scenery and lingering floral fragrances all year round.

In the mid-spring season, magnolias, cherry blossoms and winter jasmine burst into bloom one after another across the campus. Layered in varying heights and complementing each other in hues, they paint a fresh and elegant spring picture of the campus.
