Dr Li is the vice chief of the CPC committee and chief of the discipline inspection commission of both the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine and of the being-built Belt and Road International Medicine School. His main research fields cover hospital management, health policy and health system reform, medical quality management, and medical record management. He has many years of experiences in clinical treatment, teaching, scientific research and guidance for the young.

Zhou is the vice president of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. He serves as a deputy director of the National Association of Health Industry and Enterprise Management the Hospital Construction Engineering and Equipment branch, a vice director of the China Association of Medical Equipment Smart Hospital branch, and a committee member of the Chinese Medical Association Medical Engineering branch. He has been engaged in the work of medical device and hospital informatization for a long time, and has been committed to the in-depth research in medical device innovation, hospital informatization and big data, and intelligent management of hospital buildings and logistics. Zhou has published more than 60 papers; led and participated in 13 national and provincial and ministerial projects. He has been granted 24 national patents and computer software copyrights. Having produced two monographs as the first writer and another two as the second writer, he also published a national standard of the industry as the first writer.
