Yiwu City is located in central Zhejiang Province, 130 km from Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province, and 300 km from Shanghai, with an administrative area of 1105 square kilometres, a built-up area of over 100 square kilometres and a resident population of about 1.86 million.
