Successful Conclusion of APMEC 2025 in Singapore Highlights Collaborative Medical Education
Singapore, January 18, 2025 —— The Asia Pacific Medical Education Conference (APMEC) 2025 successfully concluded today after a week-long series of events held from January 13 to January 18. The conference brought together over 1200 esteemed professionals, educators, and researchers from around the world to exchange ideas, share advancements, and foster collaboration in medical education.
Representing Zhejiang University International School of Medicine (ZJU-ISM), Professors Huang Hefang, Yang Wei, Chen Weiying, Xu Xiaoming, and Wang Junchao attended the event.
A highlight of ZJU-ISM's participation was Dr. Chen Weiying's presentation titled "Collaboration as the Key to Promoting Clinic-based Education: ZJU-ISM Practices", which received widespread acclaim. Dr. Chen underscored the importance of partnership between academic institutions and healthcare providers to enhance clinical education's quality and accessibility.

Adding to the institution's accolades, Dr. Xu Xiaoming was recognized with the Best Reviewer Award for The Asia Pacific Scholar (TAPS) Journal, celebrating her dedication and excellence in peer review and advancing medical education research.

The conference concluded on a high note with addresses from Professors Huang Hefang and Chen Weiying during the closing ceremony. They reflected on the success of the event and expressed gratitude to all participants and organizers for their invaluable contributions. Notably, they announced that APMEC 2026 will be held in Yiwu, China, hosted by ZJU-ISM. They extended a warm invitation to scholars, educators, and healthcare professionals from around the globe to join the next conference to continue this critical dialogue in advancing medical education.
