New Partnership Formalized at the Year Start

On February 3rd, the Fourth Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine(ZJU4H) and Mass General Brigham from the United States formally signed a cooperation agreement in Boston. This marks a significant step forward in the in-depth collaboration between the two institutions in the fields of healthcare, education, and innovation. This partnership aims to propel ZJU4H onto the global stage, boost the caliber of its medical services, and spark advancements in medical education and research.

The signing ceremony with Mass General Brigham was held at Massachusetts General Hospital, a founding member of Mass General Brigham. Dr. Wang Kai, President of ZJU4H and International School of Medicine, Zhejiang University(ZJU-ISM) and Dr. Marcela del Carmen, Executive Vice President of Mass General Brigham and President of Massachusetts General Hospital, signed the cooperation agreement. Dr. Chen Weiying, Dean for International Affairs and Admissions at ZJU-ISM and other members of the delegation attended the ceremony.

ZJU4H and Mass General Brigham envision a long-term collaboration that transforms healthcare delivery, advances innovation, and elevates medical education and research. Together, they aim to position ZJU4H as a significant player in global healthcare by fostering excellence in clinical care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient-centered approaches, benefiting patients and communities in Yiwu, Zhejiang, and beyond.

Mass General Brigham is a leading non-profit academic medical institution in the United States, with several globally renowned healthcare facilities, including Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Massachusetts General Hospital is one of the oldest and most prestigious hospitals in the United States and serves as a teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School. It has achieved numerous milestones in medical history. As the top research hospital in the United States, it consistently appears on U.S. News & World Report's list of the nation's best hospitals.
