Reproductive Medicine

Introduction

Reproductive health is closely related to the improvement of the quantity and quality of the population, and is the technical guarantee for the implementation of the national population policy, and reproductive health is related to the national population security and development strategy. The new trend in the development of reproductive medicine has changed from the pursuit of high pregnancy rates to a greater focus on reproductive safety and offspring health. However, reproductive health is currently facing new challenges such as birth defects, infertility and impaired fertility. At the same time, China's assisted reproduction market is huge, and the growth rate is fast, but 95% of high-value consumables for assisted reproduction, and 80% of assisted reproductive drugs rely on imports, especially embryo culture media are monopolized by foreign brands. Therefore, in response to the national reproductive health strategy, in line with the development trend of reproductive medicine, we need to build an international first-class center for basic research, clinical transformation, medical service and talent cultivation in reproductive medicine, to solve the new challenges and bottleneck problems of reproductive health in China, and to serve the reproductive health of the people.
