On February 21st, a delegation led by Professor Dietel Manfred, Dean of the Medical Faculty of Charité (1997-99) and Chairman of the German-Sino Healthcare Group, visited the International Medical Center. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Ying Songmin, Vice Dean for Research, and Tang Zhe, the Vice President of the hospital, along with Li Baizhou, the Director of the Department of Pathology.
During the meeting, Professor Ying provided an overview of the Center. He mentioned that our school and hospital attached great importance to academic exchanges with Germany and hoped that we will strengthen cooperation in clinical, research, and academic exchanges. Additionally, Li Baizhou gave a brief introduction to the Department of Pathology.
Professor Manfred expressed his gratitude for the invitation and warm welcome from our side. He introduced the background of the longstanding cooperation between Germany and China. Additionally, he also introduced the German-Sino Healthcare Group, the Institute of Pathology at Charité and the current situation of molecular pathology in Germany. He suggested to cooperate in remote consultation, predictive molecular pathology, clinical translation, education and training, and other areas.
The delegation also visited the Department of Pathology, International Clinics, the Public Experimental Platform, the Laboratory Animal Center, and other facilities. Professor Manfred was impressed by the high-quality environment and medical services.
