A distinguished Professor at Zhejiang University, Vice President of the Membrane Biology Branch of the Chinese Biophysical Society, Vice President of the Cell Organelle Branch of the Chinese Society of Cell Biology, and a recipient of the "Special Allowance of the State Council". He has been in charge of major projects and key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Key Research and Development Program of China.
His research interests include energy metabolism and autophagy and has published 60 research and review articles in Nature, Nat Struct Mol Biol, Mol Cell, J Cell Biol, Autophagy, etc. with over 5000 citations; Associate Editor of Autophagy, Editorial Board of Journal of Molecular Cell Biology.
