Research direction: Autophagy and glucolipid metabolism and tumor
As the metabolic medical director of the Center of the International Health Research Institute Zhejiang University, he is employed as a distinguished Professor, a young provincial expert with outstanding contributions. Granted the State Council special allowance， he is currently the trustee of the Chinese Society of Cell Biology and the vice chair of the Organelle Branch. Prof. Liu is also the vice chair of the Membrane Biology Branch of the Chinese Biophysical Society, a deputy editor-in-chief of Autophagy Journal and an editorial board member of JMCB journal. He has undertaken a number of major projects and key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, and has published more than 80 papers in Nature, Mol Cell, J Cell Biol and other journals.
