Professor Lou Min, Executive Vice Dean of theInternational School of Medicine, Zhejiang University (ZJU-ISM), was recently invited as a distinguished expert to Vietnam, where she delivered an academic lecture titled “Comprehensive Management of Ischemic Stroke” and shared China’s diagnostic and therapeutic innovations in stroke care.
Professor Lou Min attended the 50th Anniversary Celebration and Annual Science and Technology Conference of Vietnam Reunification Hospital. The conference was held at the Reunification Palace in Vietnam, with the Deputy Minister of Health of Vietnam in attendance. It featured 30 specialized sessions covering cutting-edge fields such as cardiology, endocrinology and metabolism, neurology, and stem cell research. More than a thousand top experts, scientists, and clinicians from China, the United States, Japan, and Vietnam participated in the event, providing a high-level academic exchange platform for the global medical community.

As part of the core academic agenda of the conference, Professor Lou Min delivered a keynote speech entitled "Comprehensive Management of Ischemic Stroke". She systematically elaborated on a comprehensive stroke management program that includes early reperfusion (venous/arterial), image-guided precise patient selection, multimodal treatment, and 90-day intensive rehabilitation. The core goal is to reduce ineffective reperfusion and effectively improve patient prognosis, providing a "Chinese solution" for stroke diagnosis and treatment that is both scientific and practical.
The report attracted a large audience.
Professor Lou Min also shared the latest international evidence on thrombolysis and endovascular treatment strategies, providing important theoretical support and practical guidance for establishing a standardized multidisciplinary stroke management network.Her report was cutting-edge and insightful, sparking lively discussion and high praise from the participating experts, demonstrating the voice and contributions of Chinese experts in the global neuromedical field.
Professor Lou Min's academic sharing is the latest example of in-depth exchanges between China and Vietnam in the field of medical and health care. Its precise academic output has promoted collaborative progress in stroke diagnosis and treatment across the Asia-Pacific region, contributing "Chinese wisdom" and "Zhejiang experience" to the development of global healthcare.
