On August 18, Zhejiang University Party Secretary Ren Shaobo and President Ma Yanming (academician) led a delegation to Jinhua for an inspection tour, with the International School of Medicine as their first stop. They were joined by Jinhua Mayor Zhang Jian, Yiwu Party Secretary Ye Bangrui, and Yiwu Mayor Wen Jianfei.

Academician Huang Hefeng, Dean of the InternationalSchool of Medicine, briefed the delegation on the school’s progress. With support from the university and municipal government, the school has emerged as a pilot for integrated education, research, and talent cultivation. Professor Ren Shaobo and Ma Yanming expressed gratitude to Jinhua and Yiwu for their longstanding support, praising the school’s steady and rapid growth. Professor Ren encouraged the faculty to continue advancing the school as a high-level, international, research-oriented medical education model serving national strategies and regional development.

On the eve of China’s Medical Workers’ Day (August 19), the leaders also visited and extended holiday greetings to medical staff at the Fourth Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine (ZJU4H).

Following the visit, ZJU and the People’s Government of Yiwu City signed a cooperation agreement to further support the development of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital.
Other ZJU leaders including Wang Lizhong, Wu Jian, Fu Qiang, Huang Xianhai, Zhu Hui, Wang Jingdai, and Zhou Jianghong, along with officials from Jinhua and Yiwu—Chu Huibin, Gong Shujuan, Luo Zupan, and He Xianfeng—also participated in the visit.
