Huang Hefeng
Dr. He-Feng Huang is an Academician of the Chinese National Academy of Sciences, a member of the World Academy of Sciences, a Fellow Honoris Causa of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of the UK, and a member of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. She is a Professor of Obstetrics/Gynecology at Fudan University, Zhejiang University, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She also holds a guest professorship at the University of Adelaide, Australia, and the University of Hong Kong.
As an academic leader, Dr. Huang has led many state-funded research programs, including the 973 Science Projects, the 12th Five-Year Plan in Science and Technology, 863 Research Projects, and the Center for Basic Research of the Chinese National Science Foundation. She is the Director of the Key Laboratory in Reproductive Genetics of the Ministry of Education and the Director of the Key Lab in Embryonic Origin of Health and Disease sponsored by the Shanghai Municipal Government.
Her scientific research focuses on female reproduction and the embryonic origin of health and diseases. She has published more than 300 papers, many of which appeared in high-impact journals including Nature, Nature Medicine, and PNAS. She has received numerous awards, including the National Award for the Advancement of Science and Technology in 2010 and 2021, the highest honor bestowed upon researchers and scientists in China, and the 2023 Fuller W. Bazer SSR International Scientist Award.
Yang Wei

Dr. Wei Yang is the Executive Vice Dean of the International School of Medicine at Zhejiang University. He earned his Ph.D. from Zhejiang University in 2008, focusing his research on membrane trafficking and the physiological roles of the NMDA receptor. In 2009, he received the prestigious Newton International Fellowship Award from the Royal Society in the UK and furthered his expertise as a postdoctoral researcher at Leeds University until 2011. Dr. Yang then pursued advanced training in the VCF technique under the guidance of Prof. Zheng Jie at UC Davis.
Throughout his career, Dr. Yang has been dedicated to unraveling the intricacies of the TRPM2 channel's gating mechanism and its implications in neurodegenerative diseases such as brain ischemia injury and Parkinson's disease. His pioneering research endeavors aim to develop innovative therapeutics by targeting these ion channels.
Dr. Yang's scholarly contributions have been widely recognized, with numerous publications in esteemed journals including Cell Research, Nature Chemical Biology, PNAS, Cell Reports, Nature Communications, Antioxidants & Redox Signaling, Journal of General Physiology, and Journal of Biological Chemistry. His groundbreaking research is supported by prestigious grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the National Basic Research Program of China, and the Newton International Fellowship from the Royal Society.
Currently serving as the Executive Vice Dean of the International School of Medicine at Zhejiang University, Dr. Yang continues to inspire and lead his research team towards groundbreaking discoveries in the field of medical sciences.

Since assuming the role of Dean for International Affairs in January 2022, Dr. Chen has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to addressing international issues of strategic significance to both the School and the Hospital (ZJU4H). Her primary objective is to develop strategies and services that foster dynamic international engagements among faculty, clinicians, and students.
Prior to her current appointment, Dr. Chen served as the Deputy Director of the University's International Office from 2017 to 2021. In this capacity, she oversaw global communications initiatives, spearheaded efforts to enhance the University's branding and reputation on the international stage, and provided guidance on matters related to student mobility and scholarly exchanges.
Before transitioning into administrative leadership, Dr. Chen held a faculty position within the School of International Studies. Her research focused on discourse referents and coherence, usage-based effects on language and cognition, and the history of linguistics. She holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics and has undertaken extended visiting scholarships at prestigious institutions such as Utrecht University, the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), and Stanford University.
