Academic Support
Dual Longitudinal Mentorship
ZJU-ISM stands as the sole provider of dual longitudinal mentorship for international students in China. Notably, our program places a strong emphasis on early clinical exposure, fostering interest in problem-solving and interprofessional collaboration. With both clinical and academic supervisors from the University and its teaching hospitals, students acquire real-life case sharing, career path guidance and direct insights from senior professionals.
One-to-One Meeting

The Dual Longitudinal Mentorship enables students to faster and better understand the clinical and research work pattern. In terms of scientific research, it helps students foster interests, enrich experience, accumulate achievements, and boost their career development eventually.

Group Meeting

A few of months ago, I had a group meeting with my academic supervisors. We opened up about the challenges of our first semester, discussing our mental health and personal struggles. Their genuine empathy and understanding made me feel truly cared for and supported. Knowing that they are there for me as I continue this demanding journey through medical school is incredibly reassuring.

Clinic Tour

It aims at helping them learn about what they are interested, curious or mysterious first. Overall, early clinical exposure is conducive to the basic learning of medicine, making boring basic knowledge more interesting.

Lab Tour

As we embarked on the journey of exploring the world of genetics in the laboratories of ZJU-IIM, I was fascinated by the immense variety of advance machinery that can be used to decipher the complexities of DNA. One machine that caught my eye was the DNA polymerization device, intricately designed to replicate and amplify DNA at a high rate with great precision. After witnessing more of such machines, I was struck by their brilliance and profound impact they can have on the field of genetics.
