In the past years, Dr. Chih-Hung Hsu’s researches include:
1) Demonstration of RNA methylation (m6A) as a stimuli-response factor for environmental stresses (National Science Review 2023, highlighted in AAAS/EurekAlert!；Cell Reports 2022, Cover Article；Nature Communications 2022；Nature 2017, highlighted in Nature Reviews Molecular Cell Biology, Cancer Discovery, Science Signaling, and F1000);

Dr. Jun Ma is currently Professor of Genetics at the International School of Medicine of Zhejiang University, and the Fourth-Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. He obtained his B.S. in Biology from Peking University and Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Harvard University. He was a Professor at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Research Foundation before joining Zhejiang University in 2017. His research interests are in the areas of gene regulatory networks and embryonic development, aimed at a long term goal of understanding the general principles that govern biological systems at molecular, cellular, embryonic and organismal levels.

He has published over 40 articles in journals such as Gastroenterology, Molecular Cancer, EMBO Journal, and American Journal of Human Genetics, a few of which are included by the SCI.

Dr. Gu obtained her M.D. and Ph.D. degrees in Zhejiang University. After post-doc training in City of Hope Medical Center, Dr. Gu Joined Zhejiang University in 2018.
Dr. Gu’s group will lead efforts to identify cellular and molecular mechanisms in malignancies development and therapies that can intervene those processes or improve treatment status, potentially leading to innovative treatment options for malignancies, especially for lymphoma. Projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation Program and National Key Research and Development Program. Publishing original works in authoritative journals such as Cancer Cell, Nature Communications, Blood, STTT and Leukemia.

Research direction: Epigenetics, 3D genome and transcriptional regulation
In 2017-2021, Zhu worked at the US Jackson Genomic Medicine Laboratory as a postdoctoral researcher. In December 2021 she joined Zhejiang University. Her study is focused on analyzing the transcriptional regulation on diseases and their developmental processes with the cutting-edge genomic technologies. Her research achievements include the discovery of the outer circular DNA of chromosomes in cancer serving as a mobile enhancer to promote the expression of chromosome genes, and the discovery that the transcription factor Sox2 readjusts the self-renewal ability of neural stem cells by participating in the three-dimensional genome structure. Her research papers have been published in Cancer Cell, Cell Stem Cell, Trends in Cancer and other journals, and have been reported as highlights by Molecular Cell and Cancer Discovery and been cited with illustrations by such journals as Annual Review and Nature Genetics.
