Contributed to the international textbook Hysterectomy: A Comprehensive Surgical Approach (Kiel University). Chief Translator of Female Pelvic Surgery into Chinese. Published over 30 peer-reviewed papers as first or corresponding author in leading journals. Secured multiple national (NSFC) and provincial-level research grants.

Defined the Envelope Membrane Anatomy Structure of the lower abdomen and pelvis, integrating embryonic development and laparoscopic observation (The Innovation, 2023). Created the first comprehensive membrane anatomy map of this region. Successfully performed total membrane anatomy nerve-sparing radical hysterectomy. Proposed the Double Hammock Pelvic Floor Support Structure based on natural-space techniques (Zhejiang Univ J Med, 2018). Pioneered reconstruction of lower limb lymphatic drainage routes through the abdominal cavity (Int Angiol, 2021). Developed modified surgical approaches for transvaginal sacrospinous ligament fixation (Clin Anat, 2022) and laparoscopic uterosacral ligament suspension (Int Urogynecol J, 2022), utilizing natural anatomical spaces. Established a series of cold instrument hysteroscopy procedures based on uterine anatomy (Int J Gynecol Obstet, 2025).

Research direction: Developmental diseases, reproductive medicine and safe pregnancy Huang is the dean of the being-built Belt and Road International School of Medicine, an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academician of the Academy of Sciences for Developing Countries, Honorary Academician of the British Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, a Distinguished Professor of Zhejiang University, and the director of the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education in Reproductive Genetics. She has directed programs funded by the "863", "973", and "12th Five-Year-Plan" science and technology supportive programs and the national key R&D programs. As a deputy editor and editorial board member of the SCI journals RBMO and JOVR Huang has published more than 300 papers in the SCI journals such as Nature Medicine and PNAS.
